Job description

We are seeking a skilled Python Developer to join our team in Brussels.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Python development, with expertise in a range of related technologies.
You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable Python-based applications, with a focus on efficiency, reliability, and performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Python-based applications, ensuring high performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Write reusable, testable, and efficient code.
• Integrate user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic.
• Implement security and data protection measures.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Deploy applications using Kubernetes/Docker containers on Linux environments.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues in production and non-production environments.

Mandatory Skills and Experience

• Proficiency in Python programming language.
• Experience with SQL Alchemy for database interactions.
• Familiarity with FastAPI for building APIs.
• Knowledge of Vue.js for frontend development.
• Experience with Kafka for building real-time data pipelines.
• Understanding of S3 for scalable Storage solutions.
• Proficiency in deploying applications using Kubernetes/Docker.
• Familiarity with Linux operating systems for server environments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with other backend frameworks such as Django or Flask.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment.
• Understanding of DevOps principles for continuous integration and delivery.
• Ability to work in an Agile environment and collaborate effectively with team members.
